A warm smile is the universal language of kindness.

Kindness is contagious and doesn’t cost a thing.

Kindness is an investment. Good karma is the return.

Money makes you rich. Kindness makes you great.

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.

Kindness is loving people more than they deserve.

Choose kindness…It matters.

Do good. Be great. Believe there is good in the world.

Be kind to others. Your random act of kindness might become someone’s best lifetime memory.

Sometimes, a single random act of kindness can become the spark that ignites a revolution.

Be nice to people. Sometimes, a smile is all it takes to start a chain of kindness.

Be kind to others without expecting anything in return. Karma is keeping a tab.

Kindness may be blind but it is the most eye-opening feeling one can get. Thanks for being kind.

Pass the Popcorn: Summer Movie Favorites

Whether it’s a rainy day, or a hot, steamy night, there’s nothing better than making a big batch of popcorn and gathering the fam around the tv for a movie. Here’s Entertainment Weekly’s list of the best summer blockbusters, and below are our five faves.

  1. Jaws. It was 1975 and after watching this movie, nobody even wanted to take a bath, let alone go to the beach! This thriller follows a New England island, Amityville (some of which was filmed on Martha’s Vineyard), dealing with a killer shark during the big fourth of July weekend. Suspense, humor, and a mechanical shark who has his own theme song, not to mention pitch perfect direction by Steven Spielberg makes this a movie great, even 45 years later.
  2. Jurassic Park. Another Spielberg smash hit that filled the theaters back in 1993 gave us the thrills and chills of seeing dinosaurs that looked like the 245 million-year old real thing. Spectacular special effects and a story of greed and power kept audiences on the edge of their seats and propelled this movie to world-wide success.
  3. T. The Extra-Terrestrial. Back in 1985 we all fell in love with an odd-looking extraterrestrial who forges a close friendship with a young California boy. Sweet and funny, this moving movie is still a great reason to cuddle up on the couch and think of your own best friend. Can Steven Spielberg make a bad movie?!
  4. Ghostbusters. Back in 1984, Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, and Harold Ramis played failed parapsychologists who try and rid New York of ghosts (the dead are rising ad haunting the city).. The theme song, Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr. was a smash hit. The phrase “Who you gonna call” helped make this movie a cultural phenomenon.
  5. Back to the Future. When 17-year-old Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) tries out his mad scientist friend’s (Christopher Lloyd), time machine (a DeLorean), he time travels to 30 years in the past. Imagine meeting your mother when she was young?! This 1985 blockbuster made Michael J. Fox a huge movie star and left audiences everywhere wanting more, hence Back to the Future II and III.
