A warm smile is the universal language of kindness.

Kindness is contagious and doesn’t cost a thing.

Kindness is an investment. Good karma is the return.

Money makes you rich. Kindness makes you great.

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.

Kindness is loving people more than they deserve.

Choose kindness…It matters.

Do good. Be great. Believe there is good in the world.

Be kind to others. Your random act of kindness might become someone’s best lifetime memory.

Sometimes, a single random act of kindness can become the spark that ignites a revolution.

Be nice to people. Sometimes, a smile is all it takes to start a chain of kindness.

Be kind to others without expecting anything in return. Karma is keeping a tab.

Kindness may be blind but it is the most eye-opening feeling one can get. Thanks for being kind.

Acts of Kindness: The Holiday Edition

The holiday rush is on, and while there is a lot of good cheer and spirit this time of year, there’s also a lot of financial pressure and stress. What if this year, you created some new traditions in your family to offset holiday stress by giving and spreading kindness?

Here are some simple ideas to truly make the holidays a giving time of year:

  1. Surprise an elderly neighbor with a visit and let them know that you are going to shovel for them throughout the winter.
  2. Bring some homemade cookies to your local firehouse and let those brave heroes know how much they mean to your family and community.
  3. Buy coffee for the person behind you in line.
  4. Donate gently worn books to a children’s hospital.
  5. Gather any unused blankets in your home and drop them at your local animal shelter.
  6. Give someone your spot in line.
  7. Put positive notes in public places (use sticky notes), like “You’re the best” and “Have a terrific day”.
  8. Help someone load their groceries into their car.
  9. Be extra nice to a mom with a crying baby.
  10. Donate socks to a homeless shelter.
  11. Bring flowers to the nurses at your local hospital.
  12. Invite someone to your holiday dinner that you think may not have somewhere else to celebrate.
  13. Offer to care for a neighbor’s animals while they’re away for free.
  14. Brush the snow off of your co-workers car.
  15. Bring a candy cane to your crossing guard, librarian, policemen, or teacher.
  16. Leave change on top of random parking meters for the next person.
  17. Go old school and Christmas carol through your neighborhood.
  18. Help a friend or family member stack firewood.
  19. Leave detergent at a laundromat.
  20. Smile at everyone you see as much as can before your mouth begins to hurt!
